Powells delivered the full restoration, refurbishment, and extension of the Grade II listed Falcon Hotel, transforming a semi-derelict 16th-century coaching inn into a luxury countryside retreat. Situated on the 10,500-acre Castle Ashby Estate, the hotel was reimagined as a tranquil destination where guests can "Rest, Renew & Restore."


Works included:


  • Complete internal and external restoration of the existing hotel and public house

  • Refurbishment and fit-out of 22 bespoke guest rooms and suites

  • Transformation of adjacent cottages into additional accommodation

  • Construction of a fine dining restaurant (Eyas), new commercial kitchen, two bars, and a purpose-built function room

  • Conversion of former stables into a meeting room and juice bar

  • Extensive joinery works including custom-made furniture, doors, and bespoke internal features by Powells Joinery

  • High-spec finishes including Venetian plaster, designer wallpapers, and specialist decorative paintwork

  • Careful restoration of historical elements and integration of modern services and finishes in keeping with the building’s heritage
