The British restaurant chain serving Japanese inspired cuisine required a full refit of their London Southbank location at the Royal Festival Hall. This project however was to be completed in phases for minimal disruption of the trading of the restaurant which remained open throughout.
As principle contractor for the entire refurbishment, the works completed by the Powells team included the provision of floors, the formation of walls and partitions, ceiling and furniture/fixture fittings, the installation of mechanical and electrical systems throughout the location, including kitchen equipment installation, and decoration throughout as necessary. In addition, the Powells team coordinated the works of the various specialist trades during the fit out. The result was a modern looking restaurant with traditional Japanese themes throughout, and of course the typical communal seating for which Wagamama’s has become famous for.
